Our Lady of Sorrows Parish displayed the White Crosses from August 1 through August 11th.
The crosses represent the genocide of abortion. The 2000 crosses represent approximately 3600 babies that are killed every day in our country by this genocide.
On Friday July 31 and Saturday August 1, the Dignity of Life committee and the Knights of Columbus, St. Francis of Assisi Council, assembled the crosses as part of the 2000 Cross project to make the community aware of the tragedy of abortion in southeast Michigan. There were many local members of the community that shared their appreciation for what the exhibition truly represents.
Fr. Derik Peterman led the team in prayer Saturday morning, and helped install the crosses.
